My Opening Day Experience

This is the 4th year that I've been following the Yankees, and in those 4 years, I've never been to opening day. Until this year! As a surprise Easter present, I received tickets to the Yankees game! They weren't the best seats, but I couldn't really complain at all. The Yankees lost, but it still was a really fun game!

My dad always comes up with these kinds of things... But the envelope had Yankees tickets!

Opening Day 2015!

The starting lineup.

The full Yankees roster.

Both teams' rosters.

Joe Torre threw out the first pitch which was pretty cool.

Here's a great shot of Brett Gardner running to first base with the "Opening Series" logo next to him.

Another great shot, this time of Alex Rodriguez.

This is one of the pictures that I took, and I got Didi Gregorious getting hit! Maybe next time I shouldn't be the one that takes the pictures...

Thank you for reading, and I can't wait to go to the Yankees game again tomorrow!

  1. Looks like an awesome time! I still have yet to go to an Opening Day, it's a goal of mine for sure. Wish it could've turned out better for you though.

  2. I've actually only been to a single baseball game. Pirates vs Cardinals over 8 years ago. Watching baseball from my couch is preferable to me ha.

  3. That is an awesome time. I went to Opening Day in Atlanta back 17 years ago now because they were playing the Brewers -- it was a great time with good friends, but nothing quite like going to Yankee Stadium.

  4. Glad you had a good time! I want to go to an Opening Day sometime soon. One of those bucket list items that I have to cross off.
