JANUARY - Four 2013 Panini USA Boxes

Opening 96 packs of cards was a ton of fun! I don't know most of the players, but what the heck, at $12 a box, you really can't go wrong. Let me know if your interested in anything from my box breaks, I'm sure we could work something out. Anyways, here are all the hits!

The first 3 autographs were pretty good, the best cards from the box!

Sonny Gray is also a very good autograph to get! I was just hoping for an older USA autograph

I got 4 bat relics, all of them being good names.

And then I got 7 jersey relics, one of them being a patch #ed /99! Not as good as the Carpenter patch, but still.

Overall, the four boxes were really fun to open! Hopefully I can find some more at the same price...

Merry Christmas!

JANUARY - 2008 Upper Deck SPX Box Break

10 packs per box, 1 hit per pack, you can't go wrong. I got this on black friday for around $40, and gave it to my parents to wrap up for me for Christmas! This was another awesome break, and I am thrilled with the cards I got. Another great box! Here are the hits:

In the bonus pack, a Ryan Hanigan autograph. At least he's in the Major Leagues, and he has a pretty nice autograph too! this must have been before drawing a line is considered a signature.
Don't know who this is, but he's a Yankee! Always look on the bright side.
Don't know who this is either.
Don't know who this is, but he has a pretty nice autograph!

Finally somebody who I know, Nick Markakis! Now on the Braves. Now onto the relics:

Hanley Ramirez is now on the Red Sox. I don't hate him, but it should've been a Yankees card.

Another Red Sox player? Come on! I couldn't hate Pedro more, but he will get into the HOF in 2015.

No way this is happening. ANOTHER RED SOX PLAYER?!?!?! There's no way I can get any more Red Sox.

This box must have been made for me. FOUR Red Sox players in a row! The players are great, but come one... Manny?

Now onto my favorite cards of the break, and the patch, which falls one per box.

Ken Griffey Jr quad relic #ed /25! This wasn't the best card though. Although I was very happy with this card, the next one was awesome! You can never go wrong with a patch, but when it's this good...

WOW!!! This card is a beauty and #ed /15! It's also of a retired player, who won a Cy Young award too! If anyone is interested in any of the cards, I will always listen to what you have for trade.

Merry Christmas!

JANUARY - 2014 Topps High Tek Box Break

The best break of the bunch, Topps High Tek served me well! 1 pack per box, 8 cards per pack. Here are the hits! By the way Drew, you were right...
First Up, a (something) parallel of Orlando Hernandez! I didn't even realize it was #ed /75 until after I looked through my cards again! A nice little surprise. This next card made the box though. My third autograph of this guy too.

JOSE ABREU!!! Always nice to have another autograph of a ROY. It is for trade though, just because I don't need 3 autographs of Jose. This next card made the break though. For real this time...

DEREK JETER!!! This is a case hit, and it's also #ed /50! I'm happy with this this card for sure! I looked on ebay to check out the prices, and they sell pretty well, even though I don't plan on getting rid of this card at all. I'm still in shock with the Topps High Tek box. It was probably better than both Dynasty and Five Star, and at $65 a box, you can't go wrong with this.

Merry Christmas!

JANUARY - 2013 Topps Five Star Box Break

Another box I got for Christmas was 2013 Five Star! It's not that cheap either, and I think I missed on this one. The players are good, but the numbering is very high, and the value is low. I had to go slow on this one too, but not as slow as Dynasty. Here are the hits!

First up, a Buster Posey base card #ed 14/75! The cards look beautiful by the way.

Next up, a redemption. Yay. I'm happy with the player, but the numbering is very high. I traded away my other Machado autograph, which was a sticker, and this one is on card! Hopefully Topps can come through quickly.

Next up, a Paul Goldschmidt autograph! My first one, and I am happy with this one.

Next Up, Jose Bautista. I'm not a fan of his, but he's a great player!

Next up, home run derby champ, Yoenis Cespedes! Also with the Tigers now.

I hate Bryce Harper. I need to get rid of this card ASAP! This is the only card for trade.

A pretty rough box, but that's the risk you take with high end products!

Merry Christmas!

JANUARY - 2014 Topps Dynasty Box Break

I finally ripped into my single box of 2014 Topps Dynasty! It could have been a lot better, and it could have been a lot worse, so I can't really complain.  He is also a potential future Hall Of Famer. I had to go very very slow because it's one card one pack then done, so there isn't a whole lot of cards, but there is a lot of excitement! I wasn't hoping for a high $$$ card, but when it's $280 a box, you want a little value. So now onto the card!

It's not a 1/1

It's not a cut signature

It is for trade if anyone is interested in it!
Vladimir Guerrero patch autograph #ed 9/10! The patch was a little lame, but overall the box was not bad. My other box breaks were a little better than this one, the best being High Tek! Here's what else I broke and what I'll post (Nice Rhyme!)

-2013 Topps Five Star

-2014 Topps High Tek

-2014 Topps Stadium Club

-2014 Bowman Draft

-2011 Pete Rose Legacy

-2008 Upper Deck SPX

-2012 Pete Rose Legacy Blaster Box

-2014 Toppe Series 1 Blaster Box (3 boxes)

-2012 Bowman Chrome Blaster Box

-2013 Panini USA Retail Box (4 boxes)

-2014 Onyx game used batting gloves

-2008 Upper Deck Masterpieces Retail box (2 boxes)

A lot of posts will be going up!

Another For Trade + Contest

Over the past couple of days, I sort of forgot about blogging and haven't been keeping up with it at all. I was looking through all the cards I had, and noticed I had a lot of cards that didn't mean a whole lot to me, so here are a couple of high(er) end cards that I'm looking to move.

Now onto the contest! Whoever can correctly guess the player I will pull from a single box of Dynasty, will win this Miguel Cabrera patch #ed /49 from 2014 Immaculate! It's a really awesome card, and I hope somebody that wins this, likes the card more than me. AND, if nobody guesses the correct player, than whoever guesses the correct team will win. Also, put the name of the team that the player is since there is more than one variation of each card. Good luck!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

JANUARY - A Trade With A Cracked Bat

Julie, from, "A Cracked Bat," sent over some very nice Yankees cards, most of which I don't have! So here they are:

First up, A Pete Rose from Golden Age! Pete Rose is one of my favorite players, and also one of the main players I collect!

Ruben Rivera isn't a player I collect, but can add this to my other 1100+ Yankees cards!

McDowell was only with the Yankees one year, but had 15 wins that year. Also a very nice card!

This is my favorite card of the bunch, an Andy Pettitte select rookie. My first Pettitte rookie!

For Some weird reason it scanned these three cards as one. More Tino Martinez, and I don't have a single El Duque card of him in a Yankees uniform!

Justice never really fit with the Yankees, but he had a pretty good career steroids or not.
Bernie Williams! I could say a million good things about him, but I'm a little short on time. He was a fantastic player for the Yankees, and always played the game the right way. He's also a very good musician!

Lazzeri had a great time with the Yankees, it's unfortunate he had such a short life.

The Yankee Captain spent his whole career in NY just like many other players on the cards. He was a great player, Hall of Fame or not, but now spends his time with the Dodgers, managing.

My favorite player, The Warrior, Paul O'Neil! O'Neil now announces for YES, but was key for the Yankees during their string of World Series Championships! I can add this to the other 50+ O'Neil cards I have!

Pettitte was always a class act, even though he was linked to HGH in 2002. It ACTUALLY  wasn't even a banned substance until 2005, so he didn't really cheat. But later, he did admit to using HGH, and came through clean, unless Roger Clemens who tried to cover himself up.

Jorge Posada was also key for the Yankees in the 90's and 2000's, and was one of my favorite players until he retired.

Right from the beginning, Winfield was a fan favorite and eventually made the Hall Of Fame in 2001.

Rizzuto was a good player, not a great player. His career was shortened because of Military service by three years, but still made the Hall Of Fame.

More Paul O'Neil!

John Wetteland was a solid closer in his two years as a Yankee, but not as good as some other closers that played for the Yankees.
Russ Davis had a very short eight year career, but it's always nice to have a rookie of a Yankee!

Cano was a great Yankee, and I was very very very sad to see him go. I wasn't fond of the 2013 Finest design, but hey, it's a Yankee!

Robertson was a pretty good for the Yankees in 2014, but he was never really my favorite player. I wasn't sad to see him go, but I was happy to see Miller replace him! I wish Robertson the best of luck in Chicago! It's also a blue refractor /199!

More Don Mattingly, except this one is from 2014 Allen & Ginter, and looks great!

Mariano Rivera, the best closer ever. This is a refractor from 2013 Topps Chrome, and it looks great! Another Rivera card I don't have and to add to my 50+ Rivera cards!

Now for my second favorite card of the lot. A relic card of Mark Teixera #ed /99! 2012 Prime Cuts always looks nice, and even better when the player is on the Yankees!

Thank you so much for the cards Julie, I really like them and I hope the Tigers cards come soon for you!
