How The Yankees Are Doing Player By Player - Mark Teixeira

Tex has been one of my favorite Yankees for a while now. The only other active (former) Yankee that beats Tex, is Nick Swisher. I loved the way Swisher plays the game, and he always looks so happy even if he's batting .190! Teixeira has gotten off to an amazing start for the Yankees, earning AL player of the week a few weeks ago. I thought his career was at it's end last year, since he didn't hit home runs, and he had an extremely low average. This year is a little different. For now at least...

In December, Julie and I made a trade, and she sent over this really cool Mark Teixeira relic from 2012 Panini Prime Cuts #ed /99! I love Prime cuts, but this is my least favorite design. I feel like Panini tried to make the cards look old, but instead it just looks bad. Really bad!

I bought this card for $10 at a "local" card show about a year ago. Another very plain design for Panini, but for a Teixeira booklet with a big gray swatch #ed /99, I couldn't resist!

I think I got this at a flea market for $5 a few years back...

I remember how I got this card very well. I trade away my Ken Griffey Jr USA autograph for a bunch of low end Yankeees cards... On of my worst decisions. The worst part is, I pulled the Griffey autograph from a $1.50 pack of 2013 Panini USA Champions. ONE pack!!!

  1. Griffey? Yikes.... Well we all make trades that later down the road we regret BUT others are in our favor as well. All balances out in the end.
