Wow, it's felt like forever since I've last blogged. Nothing too exciting has happened to me in the last month, but school is finally winding down, and I'm trying to keep my grades up. I have gotten in some trading in the past few days, so it's always nice to get some new cards in my collection without spending any money. The Yankees have really been awful over the past 2 weeks, so that definitely hasn't been fun, but somehow they've managed to sneak their way into first place in the terrible AL East, being only a game over .500. I don't really know how that's possible, but I'll take it! I would definitely like the Yankees do a little better though... Anyways, I made a trade a while back for these two cards. I got rid of one of my Pete Rose autographs, but I definitely like what I got back in return more.
The first of the two cards, was this Chipper Jones prime patches patch from 2005 Donruss Playoff Portraits. I'm starting to get into Hall Of Fame patches so I'm trying to pick up a few of future Hall Of Famers. I'm not sure If Chipper Jones is a first ballot Hall Of Famer, but he will definitely get in.
The next card was this J.D. Drew 4 color patch from 2003 Upper Deck Classic Portraits. The card is really nice looking, and even though J.D. Drew will not make the Hall Of Fame, he was still an excellent player. I recently traded the Chipper Jones and a few other cards for a Miguel Cabrera 1/1 from Triple threads which you will see sometime in the near future.
