Learning More About The New York Yankees - #4

Clay Rapada

Clay Rapada was on the Yankees for one year, and probably had the best year of his career in 2012. He was mainly used in 1 or 2 out situations, but every now and then he would tackle an inning. He was a sidearm lefty, which made left handers an easy out. In 2012 he pitched 38.1 innings, while posting a 2.82 ERA, which is pretty good considering his recent years, which were pretty bad. But, like everything, all good things come to an end, and the next year he only pitched 2 innings. I don't know the reason, but it seemed like he just disappeared from MLB. He just signed with the Giants, which I'm super excited about, and I'm hoping he can get back to, "2012 mode," and help the Giants win another title, only if the Yankees aren't in the playoffs. The Yankees always come first.
