These are two players that I have been very high on, and I've really enjoyed watching them play over the last 2 years, especially Nolan Arenado. He's an excellent hitter, and an unbelievable 3rd baseman.
This first card I got at the National, and I paid $7 for it, which I thought was a really good price. Even though it's a sticker autograph, it's still a really cool card. I hated the base design of 2013 Topps Finest, but I have to say that the autograph relics look really nice.
I also got this at the National last year, but paid only $3 for this card. I know it's a sticker autograph, but for $3, their was no way I could pass down a deal like that.
The last card that I have of Nolan Arenado, is from 2013 Topps Chrome, and is pack pulled by me. I remember buying a couple of packs from a stamp and coin shop that's near me that I never go to, and I pulled this, and another autograph from 2013 Topps Archives. I didn't know who this guy was at the time, but I'm really glad I held onto this card! It's #ed /499. I remember I went to a Rockies game in Colorado, and I saw them play the Marlins (how ironic). I got to see both Arenado and Yelich play which was awesome! If I remember correctly, Arenado went either 4/4 or 5/5 and Yelich got a couple of hits also. That week, Nolan Arenado was also named NL player of the week! The final score ended up being something crazy, and the Marlins ended up winning 13-5. The Rockies got something going in the 9th when they were down by a million runs, and for a minute, I thought they would actually win, but of course, they lost. I also got to see Boone Logan pitch which was really cool, even though he gave up a couple of runs.
Christian Yelich is another young player, who has a lot of talent. He lead off for the Marlins last year, and was fantastic. He's part of the young outfield that the Marlins have, and he should be in the postseason in the next few years! This card was pulled by me from a pack of Museum Collection!
I traded for this card back in November, and even though I think his value was a little high, ($50) I still love this card. It's from 2013 Bowman Platinum, and has a really nice patch, but sadly, it's a sticker autograph. It seems like every autograph relic card, has to have a sticker...
